Far Eastern University (FEU) continues to open doors of opportunity for aspiring Tamaraws through its comprehensive scholarship and financial assistance programs designed to recognize excellence, support financial need, and nurture talent in sports, arts, and culture. With a diverse lineup of merit-based, needs-based, and service scholarships, FEU ensures that deserving students, whether high achievers, financially challenged, or artistically gifted, can pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.

Among the scholarships offered are the Entrance Scholarship for first-year exam takers with exemplary FEU College Admissions Test results, and the Teacher Scholarship Program for aspiring educators enrolled in identified degree programs under the Institute of Education. For students in need, Long-Term Education Assistance Program provides sustained financial support to those in dire circumstances, while the Nicanor Reyes Science Scholarship Program recognizes high-performing students from science high schools with outstanding academic records. Service-oriented scholarships reward student-athletes and cultural talents who embody FEU’s core values of Fortitude, Excellence, and Uprightness. These include tuition and miscellaneous fee discounts for participants under the FEU Athletics and FEU Center for the Arts. Externally funded scholarships such as those from the Megaworld Foundation, SM Foundation, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Petron Foundation, and Commission on Higher Education Scholarship Program further extend opportunities to students.

Beyond statistics and program offerings, the impact of FEU’s scholarship initiatives is best seen through the stories of its student recipients—each one demonstrating resilience, gratitude, and an unwavering commitment to giving back.

“At the time of my application, my parents were working overseas. I wanted to help lighten their financial burden, so I decided to apply for an FEU scholarship,” said Rialyn P. Gedo Cruz, a fourth-year BS Nursing student and current president of the FEU Scholars’ Society. Since earning the Nicanor Reyes Sr. Scholarship, Rialyn has persisted through academic demands with determination. The financial support, she said, allowed her to focus wholeheartedly on her studies.

“The scholarship has constantly motivated me to do my best. It strengthened my passion for service and my sense of responsibility to give back,” she added, noting that her involvement in the FEU Scholars’ Society helped her grow as a leader grounded in compassion and integrity.

Another inspiring story is that of Maverick Linden O. Noblezala, a third-year BS Nursing student and secretary of the FEU Scholars’ Society, whose journey reflects courage in the face of uncertainty. Coming from a humble background, he initially entered FEU without the assurance of financial aid.

“I enrolled without the assurance of receiving a full scholarship grant. I used to constantly question myself: Did I make the right decision? Am I really destined to be in this school?” he said. His acceptance into the Tamaraw Assistance Program eased the financial strain on his family and allowed him to pursue his academic goals with confidence.

“My full scholarship grant greatly helped ease my family’s financial burden. I have been able to achieve my dreams little by little without the fear of not being able to pay for the next semester.”

Maverick now pays the opportunity forward through dedicated service. “As a Tamaraw scholar, I help fellow scholars with their concerns, organize projects, and bridge their needs to the administration. This is my way of expressing gratitude to FEU, an institution that embraced someone like me,” he said.
