IHSN provides no cost in-house review

Provided at no cost to every graduating cohort, the FEU Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing (IHSN)’s in-house review program is designed as a structured student support system that begins as early as the first semester of the school year.

It has three phases which help students strengthen content mastery, sharpen test-taking readiness, and build confidence before the board examination.

Currently, the IHSN is conducting the final phase of review classes for graduating Bachelor of Science in Nursing students preparing for the upcoming Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE).

According to Department of Nursing Associate Department Chair for Simulation Neugene Rowan Cu, the process is anchored on helping students turn areas for improvement into core strengths.

“Each phase contains critical thinking drills and post-tests with rationalization that are administered after every concept review to help students increase their chances of passing the [NLE],” said Cu.

The review materials are produced by IHSN faculty and some alumni reviewers. Students also learn from external reviewers who are experts in their respective subject areas, giving them access to both internal academic mentoring and professional board review guidance.

The initiative reflects FEU’s continuing commitment to academic rigor and student success at every touchpoint, from classroom instruction and simulation training to board examination preparation.

In the November Nurses Licensure Examination, FEU produced 927 new Registered Nurses and recorded a 99.14 percent passing rate among first-time takers.
