Far Eastern University (FEU), through its Career Development and Placement Office (CD&PO), again strengthened its commitment to student career readiness through the FEU Industry Real-World and Simulated Tour (F.I.R.S.T.), last Oct. 2, in partnership with Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC). The tour immersed FEU students in real-world corporate environments, allowing them to bridge academic learning with industry application.

Participants from the Institute of Accounts, Business, and Finance and the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts took part in this learning initiative designed to cultivate professional competence essential for their future careers. The program underscored FEU’s mission to equip students with practical skills and exposure that complement their classroom learning.

The day-long tour brought students to two major Filinvest locations: Vector One in Filinvest City, Alabang; and Panglao Oasis in Taguig City.

At Vector One, students explored Filinvest’s premier office development and learned about the company’s business operations, values, and strategic goals through corporate briefings. Industry professionals shared insights on the importance of adaptability, innovation, and collaboration—key values that align with FEU’s vision of producing globally competitive graduates.

Meanwhile, the visit to Panglao Oasis provided students with a first-hand look at residential real estate development. Through site walkthroughs and interactive sessions with project teams, they observed how large-scale developments progress from design to completion. Discussions centered on the integration of construction, design, and sustainability practices in delivering sustainable and community-oriented spaces.

The F.I.R.S.T. program is part of FEU CD&P’s broader mission to prepare students for life after graduation through experiential learning, mentorship, and strategic partnerships with industry leaders. It aims to expose students to potential career paths, practice workplace etiquette and communication, and enhance their technical and soft skills. Through F.I.R.S.T., FEU reaffirmed its commitment to producing career-ready and globally competent Tamaraws.
