Sports Science majors exhibit innovation, leadership in colloquium

Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) majors showcased their creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership during the “MomentoESSPEcial-Project DEFEND: Developing Events for Excellence in Sports and Student Management” colloquium last Oct. 14 at the University Conference Center.


The colloquium served as a culminating activity that challenged students to conceptualize, design, and present comprehensive event proposals anchored in sports excellence and management innovation. With a focus on real-world application, participants demonstrated their ability to merge academic learning with practical execution, highlighting their growing expertise in organizing and managing sports-related events.


Each presentation reflected the students’ capacity for critical thinking, collaboration, and professionalism, aligning with the program’s goal of developing well-rounded sports managers and leaders. The event also fostered a culture of excellence and creativity, showcasing how future sports professionals can contribute meaningfully to the field through strategic event planning and management.
