Far Eastern University (FEU) Dean of Nursing, Dr. Moira Uy, has assumed her membership of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Technical Committee for Transnational Education.

“It’s a privilege to be part of this pioneering team at CHED,” said Uy. “As dean of a program that now extends to a college of health sciences and nursing in Brunei, I’ve seen firsthand how transnational education can open doors for Filipino students. I look forward to helping shape policies that make quality global education more accessible and relevant to our future professionals.”

Under Republic Act No. 11448, the committee is tasked with providing expert guidance on the development, regulation, and promotion of transnational education in the country, enabling local institutions to collaborate with reputable international academic partners, and offer joint or dual degree programs.

Their oath-taking ceremony was led by CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley Agrupis, who emphasized the commission’s commitment to enhancing the quality, accessibility, and global competitiveness of Philippine higher education through robust transnational education policies and programs.

Uy’s appointment reflects both her professional expertise and FEU’s broader commitment to academic excellence and internationalization.
