The FEU Academy, in partnership with the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), concluded their Certificate in Organization Development (COD) program held from Jan. 18 to March 8 at FEU Makati. The program aimed to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to understand and apply OD principles in various professional contexts.

The course combined lectures, workshops, and case discussions, allowing participants to explore OD processes, change strategies, and performance measurement tools used to assess and sustain organizational improvement.

Led by Dr. Maribel Umali, former Chief Human Resource Officer of Swedish Match Philippines, Inc. and Certified Shared Leadership Team Coach of PMAP, the program provided practical insights into real-world OD practices while reinforcing FEU Academy’s commitment to continuing professional education.

Participants pointed to the credibility and expertise of the lead trainer, as well as the practical relevance of the course content. Many described the sessions as enriching and applicable to real organizational challenges. Reported key learnings included a deeper understanding of OD models, change management, employee engagement, and strategic alignment. They also appreciated learning practical diagnostic tools, which can help improve performance and facilitate planned changes within organizations.

The COD course was divided into eight modules, covering essential OD topics such as Human Resource Management, Organizational Diagnosis, Planned Change, OD Interventions, and Evaluating the Change Process. The integration session highlighted the connection of these concepts to organizational strategy and culture, allowing participants to consolidate their learning before program completion.

Assessor’s Observation Report showed that the training was relevant, informative, and directly applicable to participants’ professional settings.
