Nine graduate students of Far Eastern University-Institute of Education (FEU-IE) were among those who dialogued with ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) assessors about FEU’s 400 Teacher Scholarship Program.

The IE graduate students spoke with Dr. Norhqzilan Md Noor and Dr. Veerades Panvisavas about FEU’s initiative “to recruit and train 400 Filipino educators, providing scholarships for their master's degrees, and certification training in student-centered teaching.”

This scholarship program seeks to develop teaching excellence and leadership skills, benefiting higher education teachers, teaching assistants, basic education teachers, and nursing instructors or clinical instructors.

Noor and Panvisavas’ insights, the IE students said, underscored the critical role of international collaboration and quality assurance in shaping future-ready educators and advancing global standards in graduate education.

As faculty members trained under the program, they shared their insights into innovative pedagogical practices and curriculum enhancement. During the dialogue with Noor and Panvisavas, they also provided evidence of how teaching and learning processes are continuously improved within their departments. They presented documentation, answered queries from the assessors, and shared their experiences in implementing outcomes-based education.

This dialogue marked a significant step forward for Graduate Studies and Transnational Education at FEU, as the university positions itself at the forefront of innovative and globally aligned teacher training. With the 400 Teacher Scholarship Program, FEU reaffirms its commitment to nurturing educators who are not only competent and compassionate but also equipped to inspire change in classrooms and communities worldwide.
