Far Eastern University was hailed back-to-back winner at the 44th PAMET-PASMETH inter-school quiz show, after the victory of MedTech quizzers, Jennuel Herbert Frias, Shayra Ayah Laja, Hans Ezekiel Olorosisimo, and Erwin Rizkin Lira, who showed once again the commitment and dedication of the Tamaraws to medical technology education.
“Aside from God’s guidance, our competent coaches, and our own smarts and abilities, our teamwork during that time greatly contributed to our success. We remained humble with each other and confident with each other,” said Olorosisimo. “Our trust with each other is really the best. To be honest, because we all did our part, and we filled each other’s lapses, I can’t really tell who the team captain was. We all have our fair share of moments before and during the competition. Basically, we all did what a great team and its members are expected to do: both in technicality, attitude, and emotions.”
Lira was honored for having the sole perfect score in the difficult round and brought the Special Award, something that he did not anticipate.
“When I got the perfect score in the difficult round, I honestly felt incredibly lucky. Most of the questions were topics we had already discussed during training, but there were some that I only happened to encounter by chance—like the one about Ki-67, which I remembered from a lab result paper I saw during my internship before our school pulled us out for training,” said Lira.
The quizzers were recognized last Oct. 31 during their White Coat Ceremony.
