Far Eastern University (FEU) and Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC) are broadening career pathways and industry exposure for FEU students and graduates following a ceremonial signing of their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at The Beaufort Building of FDC.

The event was led by Juan Miguel R. Montinola, President of FEU, and Sheriben Marie Paraguas, FVP & Head of HR Strategy and Center for Excellence of FDC.

In his message, Montinola underscored the value of exposing FEU students to diverse learning experiences and early industry immersion. While classroom education builds essential knowledge, he said, students benefit greatly from opportunities to engage with a wide range of industries to better prepare for their future careers. He also highlighted FEU’s breadth of academic programs from healthcare sciences to technology and liberal arts, and its growing presence in the provinces, which he said could lead to more avenues for collaboration.

For Paraguas, the partnership carries a personal resonance. She shared that her sister, an FEU scholar who completed the university’s MedTech and Medicine programs, is now a practicing physician, making the collaboration meaningful to her and her family. She reaffirmed Filinvest’s commitment to help students and graduates not only land jobs but also build sustainable, long-term careers. With its network of 98 companies across multiple industries, Filinvest offers a broad spectrum of opportunities for young professionals.

Both institutions affirmed that the MOU sets the stage for meaningful pathways for FEU students and graduates, focusing on industry exposure, professional development, and the creation of sustainable career opportunities.
