Far Eastern University (FEU) concluded its Certificate in Human Resource Development (CHRD) program, a comprehensive professional training held last Oct. 4 to Nov. 29 at FEU Makati, Room 302 and the Mini Theater.
The CHRD program aims to strengthen participants’ competencies in developing, implementing, and evaluating HR development strategies in organizational settings. Designed for both emerging and experienced HR practitioners, the program equips learners with the foundational and advanced skills necessary to enhance employee knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits and to support organizational performance through effective learning interventions.
Across eight modules, the course covered core HRD topics such as Learning Theories, Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Learning Measurement and Evaluation, Designing a Training Module, Facilitation Skills, Managing Learning Events, and overseeing the broader Learning and Development function. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, individual presentations, and practical assessments that encouraged real-world application of theories and methods.
Many shared that the program sharpened their ability to conduct TNA, build competency matrices, and execute program evaluation frameworks aligned with organizational objectives. The sessions further provided them with structured approaches to planning, delivering, and managing training interventions from pre-implementation activities to post-program assessments.
Through the CHRD, FEU reinforces its commitment to providing responsive and industry-aligned professional development programs that empower learners with skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the evolving field of HRD.
The program was led by Miselle P. Bergonia, VP for Operations and HR of the PAMAV Training Institute of Technology Center, whose expertise anchored the program’s rigorous and practice-oriented sessions.
