Far Eastern University (FEU) has finally taken home the most coveted recognition—Best Campus Hour School—in the Veritas 446 Campus Hour Awards during Season 12 of the radio program.
Alongside this milestone, FEU also clinched Best Female Anchor for Dani Dayao (BACOMM, 2025) and Best Program Teaser Plug, with multiple nominations including Best Male Anchor for Jed Laudencia (BACOMM, 2025).
For Dani Dayao, being named Best Female Anchor was more than a personal achievement, as it was a testament to growth and teamwork.
“Winning isn’t proof of perfection, but of growth. Growth shaped by the people who guided me, encouraged me, and believed in my capabilities every step of the way,” said Dayao.
Representing FEU as a female anchor allowed her to spread hope and build a family within the team.
“This recognition isn’t just mine, it’s for the whole team. Their talent and passion pushed me to give my best,” she said.
“This award is a testament to the dedication, excellence, and passion of our team. From the start, our goal was clear: to win Best Campus Hour. And we did it. This victory is not just for my [Department of Communication or DepComm] but for the whole FEU,” said Laudencia.
Both anchors credit DepComm for shaping their skills and values. Guided by the mantra “May alam, may pakialam,” the department instills excellence with purpose.
Dayao also expressed gratitude to her mentor, Karen Lee Panela, for recognizing her potential early on, while Laudencia highlighted the hands-on training in broadcasting, film, and events production that prepared them for industry standards.
Panela said this triumph reflects FEU’s commitment to nurturing communicators who lead with knowledge and empathy and have talented voices that inspire since their effort comes from conviction.
