More than 300 US-based nurses and officials from Far Eastern University (FEU) marked their reunion with educational sessions and other activities from August 6 to 8 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Rosemont, Chicago.

Hosted by the FEU Nursing Alumni Foundation, Inc., the 19th Grand Reunion began with a welcome night featuring Dr. Moira Uy of the FEU Nursing Department as guest speaker. Highlights of the first day included a parade of all graduates, starting with the earliest batch to the most recent—class of 1959; the giving of Presidential Special Awards; updates from the FEU Alumni Relations Office (ARO); and the awarding of Best in ‘70s and ‘80s Costume.

Educational sessions were held on the second day, followed by “class nights,” where various batches organized their own activities.

The three-day reunion, themed “Bridging the Gap Towards Healthy Aging,” concluded on with a general assembly, the induction of officers, Nursing Excellence Awards, the awarding of Jubilarians, and a Gala Night. Juan Miguel R. Montinola, president of FEU, was the guest speaker at the Gala Night. He provided the Tamaraws with updates on developments at the university and shared its aspirations in line with its upcoming 100th founding anniversary.
